Ayesha Siddiqa is a military analyst with a PhD in war studies from King�s College, London. It took her two years to write the book and three years to research it. Her earlier book was Pakistan�s Arms Procurement and Military Buildup, 1979-99.

Thanks a lot for posting this book, i have been searching for it in the market. A book seller told me that it was banned in Pakistan. i dont know whether its true or not.

Yes this book is banned in Pakistan but unwritten. Any how i don’t till when it is going to stay here so recommend all of your friends to download it.

First of all, the last poster said that the book in banned in the market in Pakistan, which is not true. It is freely available in every book store and is not banned.
Secondly, This book serve no purpose to us. The fact is that this lady is a proxy of foriegn stakeholders of Pakistan. She is acting solely in the interest of her real bosses outside Pakistan.
Thirdly, the military weopon production facilities are not only permited to military only. Even she can also set up a weopon industry and could seel weopon to Pakistani Military. But the question is that how many private business man had setted up the industries. If not than, do we suppose to rely on foriegn governments. Where the americans recently pressurising Germans to stop export of used bullet proof vehicles to Pakistan and no private business man is taking any initiative to help the nation in developing the defence equipment. Does this female writer want the military to stop producing weapons.
Forthly, where the country already facing lack of resources! if the military had successfuly managed to save some money, alocated for defece and started few civil businesses, which are not only making profit. But also providing employemnet to hundreds of thousands of people all over the country. What wrong did they commited.
